Key terms you’ll get comfortable with

DRSABCD

DRSABCD is a mnemonic used to remember the steps in first aid and CPR:

Steps to Place a Casualty in the Recovery Position

Placing a casualty in the recovery position helps to maintain an open airway and prevent choking.

Choking

Choking occurs when an object blocks the airway, preventing normal breathing. It can quickly become life-threatening if not addressed promptly.

Burns

Burns can be caused by heat, chemicals, electricity, or radiation. They are classified into first, second, and third-degree burns based on severity.
